The complex task of installing drainage and waterproofing solutions into a wetroom has been simplified, thanks to the new CGI animations from CCL Wetrooms.
The latest CGI software helps bring to life the installation process of installing a Linear Screed Drain and Tilesure Waterproofing & Decoupling Membrane onto a concrete floor. The six minute animation provides a visual step by step guide to installing a comprehensive drainage and waterproofing solution, from the initial preparation stage through to installing the drain, pouring the screed and waterproofing the floor and walls.
The animations provide a simple overview of the installation process to aid the installation process onsite.
The tanking process is illustrated in a cut down version of the animation showing Tilesure Waterproofing & Decoupling Membrane, the new butyl membrane from
CCL Wetrooms being applied to the floor of a wetroom. The short animation also shows the shower walls being waterproofed with FWM (Flexible Wall Membrane) to provide a belt and braces solution.
The market leading Linear Screed Drain is the most effective wetroom drainage solution for concrete floors. It’s unique 55mm BBA approved Lo-Seal Trap has been developed
for installation into wetroom construction projects with screed depths of below 70mm. The self-sealing mechanism locks into position, keeping the trap sealed when not in use. This ensures the trap cannot dry out and stops odours from entering the room.
Tilesure Waterproofing & Decoupling Membrane is the new self-adhesive butyl membrane from CCL Wetrooms, suitable for waterproofing wetroom floors on timber and solid floors. Tilesure is a 1.4mm self-adhesive membrane containing a copolymer layer and polypropylene top fleece. The membrane has decoupling properties of up to 12mm, ensuring that any movement in the floor substrate is accommodated, preventing the grout and floor tiles from cracking.
Thanks to butyl’s durability and greater temperature tolerances, Tilesure can be installed simply and easily on-site at all temperatures. Tilesure is quick and easy to apply and is ready to be tiled upon immediately. It is compatible with silicone sealants and creates a secure waterproof barrier that is guaranteed to remain waterproof for the life of the wetroom tiles.
